What To Do, What's Done?

My project life has gone downhill recently. Besides a few stitches of embroidery and re-potting a couple houseplants, nothing much has happened.

Part of that is because I'm now a brand-new Wal-Mart Associate. Yessir, I'm a checker. Another 15 hours (at least) per week on top of my full time job. Honey's got money! Lately all I've been doing is working, sleeping, eating, hanging with my boyfriend/'s family, and thinking about how much I want to lose a few pounds. Apparently, enough to think about it all day, every day, but not enough to actually start exercising. Maybe I should go back to school and walk it off.

I also am trying to think about ways to get more involved with my family. I want to visit my grandparents and parents more often, but usually by the time I have "free time" I'm too tired to do anything besides sit and veg. So instead of going to family and having to be sociable and answer questions, I end up either staying home and reading, or going to my boyfriend's house and watching a movie and leaning on his shoulder. That's nice, but I miss my family.

I do have a new project started. I'm re-casting an afghan Grandma gave to me at least ten years ago. I made a mistake two skeins in and lost a stitch that could never be recovered, and I finally am going to do it right. Wish me luck!
